Little Lake Harbor, MI

Little Lake Harbor, Michigan is located on the south shore of Lake Superior, about 21 miles west of Whitefish Point and 30 miles east of Grand Marais, Michigan. The project was authorized by the Rivers and Harbors Act of 2 March 1945.  The provides for a small craft harbor of refuge by dredging an entrance channel 12 feet deep from Lake Superior into Little Lake, protected by two rubblemound breakwaters, east and west, the lengths of which are 269 and 921 feet, respectively. The harbor services primarily recreational navigation interests.
