Preparing to raise the Hammond Bay
In preparations to raise a tug boat, US Army Corps of Engineers personnel place a boom in the water to prevent any possible oil or contamination leak into the St. Marys River. The USACE tug Hammond Bay unexpectedly sunk while being towed from Duluth, Minn., to Sault Ste. Marie July 1.
