Bayport Harbor, MI

Bay Port Harbor, Michigan is located on Wild Fowl Bay on the east shore of Saginaw Bay about 10 mile south of Caseville, MI.  The project was authorized by the Chief of Engineers on 20 May 1965 pursuant to Section 107 of the 1960 River and Harbor Act, Public Law 86-645. Provides for dredging a channel 6 feet deep and 50 feet wide extending from the 6-foot contour in Saginaw Bay intersection of the private service channels to be dredged by local interests, a distance of approximately 5,750 feet. The harbor services primarily recreational navigation interests although a commercial fishery has been located at the site.
