AuSable Harbor, MI

Aerial view of Au Sable HarborAu Sable Harbor, Michigan is located on the west shore of Lake Huron, 8 miles north of Au Sable Point, northeast limit of Saginaw Bay.  The project was authorized by the Rivers and Harbors Act of March 2, 1945. The existing project provides for riprapping the outer 200 feet of the existing north pier at the mouth of the Au Sable River; dredging an entrance channel 12 feet deep and dredging between two piers and upstream to the State Highway Bridge to a 10-foot depth. The harbor services primarily recreational navigation interests.
