  • Finding of “no adverse effect” under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) for proposed Duluth Ship Canal Protection project.

    The USACE is seeking to complete the protection of public paths along the shoreline and public park grounds that are adjacent to the Duluth Ship Canal’s North Pier and Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center by constructing a T-Wall and armor stone revetment on USACE property. In addition, the proposed project will also include the installation of two storm drain substructures that will require re-grading and replacement of concrete within the park grounds adjacent to the Duluth Ship Canal’s North Pier and Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center. Aesthetic improvements of the public park grounds will also be done as part of the proposed project.
  • City of Virginia, St. Louis County, MN infrastructure improvements to the 6th Ave. West and 17th St. South roadways

    Expiration date: 3/20/2023

    The City of Virginia proposed work at 6th Ave. West and 17th St. South includes but is not limited to street resurfacing, replacement of curbs, gutters, and sidewalks to meet ADA requirements, replace of sanitary/storm sewers and water mains, replace storm manholes and catch basins, replace or add street lighting, and restore turf to impacted areas. The project is being completed pursuant to Section 569 of the Water Resources Development Act of 1999, Public Law 106-53, as amended.
  • Preliminary Finding of No Significant Impact and Environmental Assessment for Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP) Sewer Lining, City of Superior, Douglas County, Wisconsin

    Expiration date: 2/25/2023

    The City of Superior, Douglas County, Wisconsin proposes infrastructure refurbishment by lining 4,976 feet of 15-inch diameter reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) constructed in 4-foot length using the cured in place pipe (CIPP) lining, sealing 1,244 pipe joints, and lining 13 manholes that provide work access to the sewer line to minimize groundwater infiltration and reduce treatment requirements at the Waste Water Treatment Plant. The project is being completed pursuant to Section 154 of Division B of Appendix D, Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2001, Public Law 106-554, as amended.
