Kenosha Harbor, WI

Kenosha Harbor, Wisconsin is located on the west shore of Lake Michigan about 35 miles south of Milwaukee and about 54 miles north of Chicago, IL. The project was authorized by Rivers and Harbors Acts of March 3, 1899; March 2, 1907; August 30, 1935; May 17, 1950; and, October 23, 1962. The existing project provides for a 796 foot long detached breakwater, 1,175 foot long parallel piers at the mouth of Pike Creek, a lake approach channel 800 feet wide and 27 feet deep, an approach channel 300-400 feet wide and 26 feet deep, an entrance channel 200 feet wide and 25 feet deep, a 20 acre inner basin 25 feet deep, and a northwesterly channel extension to 50th street that is 21 feet deep.
