Arcadia Harbor is located on the east shore of Lake Michigan, 193 miles northeasterly from Chicago, IL. and 15 miles northerly from Manistee, MI. The project was authorized by the Rivers and Harbors Act of March 3, 1905. This project maintained the harbor as built by private enterprise and provided a channel between Lake Michigan and Bar Lake about 1,100 feet long, 103 to 200 feet wide between parallel piers and revetments and a depth of 16 feet (now maintained at 8 feet deep).The harbor services recreational navigation interests.
